Pick a frothy dandelion puff. Before blowing on its light-filled seeds charged with the promise of abundant potential, make a wish about something wonderful you’d like to manifest in life … then, watch as the seeds float through the air, carried by the balmy and blustery winds of change.

How do we best manifest our desires in life? First we must know what we want and set an intention. If we haven’t taken the time to really understand and identify what would truly contribute to our happiness, we won’t be ready to blow into the silky tendrils of the dandelion and set things in motion. We may not even be able to recognize it once it arrives. Once we are clear about what we desire, we can then radiate and communicate it to those around us. When we can be honest about who we are and what we want, there is no need to demand, be rude or aggressive, or manipulate others that are involved in helping us get what we want. Instead, we know that we are transmitting a signal on the right frequency to bring all that we desire into our experiences.

As the world evolves, humanity is learning to work from the Heart. We may have been taught that the way to get what we want is to follow certain rules, play particular games, or even engage in acts that use less than our highest integrity. The only rules we need to apply are those of intention and connection. In terms of energy, we can see that it takes a lot of energy to keep up a false front or act in a way that is counter to our true nature, however, much less energy is expended when we live in alignment with our highest truth and path.

What are some steps we can apply to manifest our desires?

The Law of Attraction: Change what we are thinking about and doing ~ The law of attraction simply states that what we think about and do, we attract. The more we think about it, the more we attract it. The more times we handle a situation a certain way, the more tempting it is to keep doing it that way time and again. To change what we attract and manifest, we need only adjust what we think, the way we think, and what we do. We accomplish this by being diligent. Once we notice ourselves going down a familiar street we’ve been before that was fraught with frustration and ended badly, we stop ourselves, bypass that street altogether, and walk down a different way. Being able to jerk ourselves out of harm’s way is paramount to changing bad habits and staying on top of things in our lives.

Release the Past ~ Release past relationships and people who still have their ‘energetic hooks’ in us. It is also important to face past memories of experiences that we continue to revisit and react to.The most important way to do this is to refute all labels and roles/mindsets we’ve played (i.e. victim role, loser role, unlucky role, abused role, addicted role, sick role, learning and physical disability roles, unwed mother role, divorced role, poverty role, bohemian role, too artistic, gifted or special to work a regular job role, introverted role, life of the party role). By refuting ego roles and mindsets, we stop giving ourselves excuses as to why we shouldn’t risk, reach, mature and grow. We stop manipulating others to treat us with kid gloves, rescue us, give us money, help solve our problems for us, or let us off the hook from our responsibilities. We release these energetic mindsets and begin again, a fresh canvas of the present.
Be the Love We Seek ~ Exhibit the qualities we would be attracted to in a soul mate, and exhibit the qualities our soul mate would be attracted to. By being the love we seek, we prepare ourselves for unconditional love. We don’t look for others to complete us. We can then become a compliment to one another and serve one another. By giving and serving, we drop our expectations. Life is then an always-unfolding surprise.
Use Feng Shui to Renew Where We Reside ~ Give away, gift or throw out things we don’t love, need, or use. Empty the floors of closets. Put things away off counter tops and off surfaces. Change the flow of furniture placement. Bring in nature, plants, wind chimes, fountains, and things in two’s. Bring in male and female objects in twos (such as art depicting men and women – yin and yang (rather than just women, or just men). This makes the way for new energy.

Purify our Body, Mind and Spirit ~ Doing yoga, eating a cleansing and lighter diet, drinking hot water with lemon, walking, taking a sauna, breathing with pranayama, praying and meditating will purify our lives to attract fresh new, positive, healthy experiences. In many ancient cultures, to sacrifice something begins purification, and to purify makes sacred. A sacred heart will attract other sacred hearts.

Money is Energy: Energy begets energy ~ Holding on to money actually slows the flow and can create tightness and stagnation. Never deny yourself and those you love something sweet and special that is desired within reason. Spend the energy (money), and it will kick it up and multiply. Pay necessary bills due right off the top. Like cream rising to the top of milk, it is thick and dense. Put that thicker energy on the tougher bills. Suddenly there is more fluid milk beneath and everything stretches further.

Make Room in Our Lives ~ Probably the most important step for manifesting desires is to make the way, clear a path and restore our own personal internal rhythm. We can do this by observing our schedules, habits, television watching, and our doing/going/running habits. Also, we can “clean house” with friendship/acquaintances by narrowing and refining our choices of relationships and how we allocate our time to those people we communicate with. We begin to notice how much energy is directed to email, phone, and physical presence. Finally, we take this process deeper by observing the thoughts, anxiety, memory loops, and chatter of the mind, beginning to weed out the clutter that prevents us from being in touch with God and our intuition. Once the path has been cleared, the new can enter.

Pale little dandelion, in her white shroud,
Heareth the angel-breeze call from the cloud.
Tiny plumes fluttering, make no delay,
Little winged dandelion, soar my dreams away.
